Robert Hutchison, DPM
Dr. Robert W. Hutchison, FACFAS, is a distinguished podiatric surgeon with 23 years of experience. Renowned as a perennial Top Doctor in the New York Tri State area, he specializes in limb salvage, reconstructive, trauma, elective foot and ankle surgery, among other services. Dr. Hutchison graduated Magna Cum Laude from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1997 and completed his medical training with distinction. He embarked on an extensive surgical journey, performing over 2,500 procedures at St. Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey under the tutelage of world-renowned surgeons. Within five years of completing his residency, he was elected Chief of Foot and Ankle Surgery at Union Hospital.
Dr. Hutchison holds Double Board Certification from the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is certified in wound care by the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is also certified to oversee Hyperbaric Medicine for wound care. Committed to patient well-being, Dr. Hutchison is a Diplomat of the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a member of esteemed medical associations. Dr. Hutchison grew up in a suburban town just outside of New York City where he was a 4 year Varsity Letter winner for both baseball and basketball. Dr. Hutchison played baseball professionally prior to attending college in New Jersey. During his spare time, Dr. Hutchison enjoys golf, boating, fishing, softball and pickleball. His greatest pleasure is spending time with his 2 children, Christopher and Alexis, as well as his 2 canine children Lyla and Stella.
Dr. Hutchison’s practice policy is to make every patient feel as if they are family, giving each and every patient visit the attention he would demand for his family. The driving principle behind his new venture Lower Keys Foot and Ankle Surgery is to bring big city care to his friends and all residents of Key West, Monroe County, and beyond.
